In conjunction with the release of the Punks In Peoria book and album, Naked Bums Inc. and Diplomatic Relations present an outdoor festival at Casa de Arte in the Peoria Warehouse District on Sunday, September 5.
Casa de Arte will sell drinks and food (including their amazing street tacos!) alongside an art show dedicated to Peoria's DIY underground. Fourteen bands from past and present will perform starting at noon.
Please note the following times are approximate. If you are interested in seeing a specific band, be aware that they could go on slightly earlier or later than posted.
This show is all-ages, but wristbands will be required for anyone who wishes to consume alcohol. Adults $35. Children 5 and under are free; children ages 6 to 12 are $10.
Unfortunately The Forecast and Nora Hate had to cancel, but Rings and Electric Cool-Aid are in. We have a number of other surprises in store for you... you won't want to miss it!
The current level of community transmission for COVID-19 in Peoria County is high. Here is what we are doing to mitigate the threat:
One of the DIY punk scene’s greatest ideals was that we should take care of each other—especially in difficult times. No matter how you feel about vaccines, masks or the risk COVID-19 poses to you personally, we ask you to set that aside and consider that some of your old friends are cancer survivors, pregnant, immune-compromised, or have at-risk family members.
If you are traveling from out of town, please be safe and mindful in the days leading up to the festival.
If you are sick or experiencing any COVID symptoms, stay home. Get tested—even if your symptoms are mild and you are already vaccinated.
All that said, we are so excited to see old friends! Let’s all have a good time, but let’s take care of each other. Keep each other safe. Please wear masks and keep your distance—regardless of your vaccination status.
