Featured Poet: Tracy ‘T-Spirit’ Stanton
Tracy ‘T-Spirit’ Stanton is an author, highly featured poet, poetry slam winner and nationally known activist that hails from St. Louis, Missouri. After witnessing and experiencing various forms of trauma at an early age she found solace in poetry, drugs and the streets for 23 years. Coming home from prison in 2017, she decided to share her experience and poetry to heal, empower and enact change in the same streets she once helped to destroy.
Her proclivity to openly share led her to record the harrowing experiences of her former life in her poetry book, “Some Things Must Be Heard”. Stanton’s book is available for purchase from her website on https://tspirit.net/.
She is a board member with The Center for Women in Transition, which is the transitional house in St. Louis that provided support upon her release from prison. She is also a program facilitator with The Institute for Peace and Justice, a Healing Support Specialist with The Freedom Community Center and the owner of T-Spirit the brand and Addiction to Ambition Coaching and Consulting. Her poetry, passion and power has opened many doors for her and for others. Read more about her on her website at https://tspirit.net/.
